Canucks vs Ducks Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Our Canucks at Ducks prediction is no bet. Our number leans to Vancouver by 3.9 points, short of the 5 it takes to make a bet.

The Anaheim Ducks are -198 and the Vancouver Canucks +164 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 63.7% for Anaheim and 36.3% for Vancouver. Our number has the Ducks at 59.8%. The price is a little long on the Canucks, but only a little.

How 59.8% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out.

The Ducks went 24-13-4 at Honda Center, a 58.5% home win rate. The Canucks went 16-22-3 on the road, a 61.0% road loss rate. Averaged, Anaheim is 59.8% and Vancouver 40.2%. That is 3.9 points better for Vancouver than the price.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -198 and +164 the two come to 104.3%. With the margin taken out, the Ducks are 63.7% and the Canucks 36.3%.

Every input is from 2025-26. This season is outside the method, and it has started badly for Vancouver. The Canucks are 2-10-1, 1-5-1 on the road, and lost 4-2 to Minnesota on Sunday. Kevin Lankinen and Leevi Merilainen have each appeared in eight of their games. The Ducks are 5-6-0, 1-3-0 at home, and won 5-4 in Philadelphia on Saturday. Lukas Dostal has appeared in eight of their games and Ville Husso in four.

Anaheim at home, Vancouver on the road

The Ducks at home scored 3.54 a game and allowed 3.49, a surplus of 0.05. The Canucks on the road scored 2.80 and allowed 3.80, a deficit of 1.00. These are the two halves our number is built from.

The halves the method leaves out: Anaheim on the road went 19-20-2, a 46.3% win rate, scoring 3.12 and allowing 3.54. Vancouver at home went 9-27-5, a 22.0% win rate, scoring 2.46 and allowing 3.90. The Canucks were worse in their own arena than away from it, and that half is not in our number.

The season around it

Anaheim went 43-33-6 with 92 points and was outscored by 15. That was enough for the playoffs, where the Ducks beat Edmonton 4-2 in a series and then lost 4-2 to Vegas. Vancouver went 25-49-8 with 58 points, was outscored by 100, and missed the playoffs.

The Ducks lived in close games. They went 24-6-6 in one-goal games and won 17 of the 23 that went past regulation, but they won by two goals or more in only 19 of 82. Vancouver went 15-9-8 in one-goal games and won 10 of its 18 past 60 minutes. The Canucks lost by two goals or more in 40 of 82.

Vancouver won three of the four games between the teams in 2025-26. Two were at Honda Center: a 5-4 Canucks win on 26 November and a 4-3 overtime Canucks win on 12 April. Both are inside our number, in each half. The two games in Vancouver, a 2-0 Canucks win on 29 January and a 5-3 Ducks win on 24 March, are in neither half. Four games prove nothing about this matchup.

Pick: No bet

A side is a bet when our number and the market’s differ by at least 5 points. The gap here is 3.9 toward the Canucks. That is a lean, and below the threshold a lean is not a bet.

The line read Ducks -198 and Canucks +164 on 26 October 2026 at 19:27 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, -198 and +164, so the market has not moved.

What kills the bet

Here, what would make one. Against Anaheim at -198, the Canucks become a bet at +177 or longer. At +184 or longer they are a bet whatever Anaheim is priced at.

For the Ducks to become the bet, they would have to be +118 or longer against Vancouver at +164, or -121 or longer whatever the Canucks are priced at. They are -198.

The rest is on the ice. ESPN’s injury list has Thatcher Demko on injured reserve with a hip injury, along with Akil Thomas and Mackenzie MacEachern for Vancouver. Anaheim lists Pavel Mintyukov, Ian Moore, Ryan Poehling and Troy Terry on injured reserve. None of these changes our number, which comes from last season’s results. Check the lineups before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 6.5, over -115 and under -105. The Ducks’ games went over 6.5 in 49 of 82, a 59.8% rate. The Canucks’ games went over in 46 of 82, a 56.1% rate. Anaheim’s home games averaged 7.03 goals and Vancouver’s road games 6.6.

Averaged, our number has the over at 57.9%. With the margin removed the over is priced at 51.1% and the under at 48.9%, so our number leans to the over by 6.8 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so that is a lean. Pass on the total.

On the puck line, Anaheim is -1.5 at +114 and Vancouver +1.5 at -135, which is 44.9% and 55.1% without the margin. Over the full season the Ducks won by two goals or more in 19 of 82 games, and the Canucks lost by two or more in 40 of 82. Averaged, Ducks -1.5 lands 36.0% of the time against 44.9% priced, a gap of 8.9 points toward Canucks +1.5. That is the same side as the moneyline lean, and it stays a lean. No bet on this game.
