Canucks vs Jets Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Canucks on the moneyline. Our number makes Vancouver a 46.3% winner in Winnipeg, and the price gives them 33.1%.
The Vancouver Canucks are +190 and the Winnipeg Jets -230 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 33.1% for Vancouver and 66.9% for Winnipeg. Our number is 46.3% and 53.7%. The gap is 13.2 points toward the Canucks, and the threshold for a bet is 5.
How 46.3% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Games at a neutral site are left out.
The Jets went 19-16-6 at Canada Life Centre, a 46.3% home win rate. The Canucks went 16-22-3 on the road, a 61.0% road loss rate. The average of the two is 53.7% for Winnipeg and 46.3% for Vancouver. That is 13.2 points better for the Canucks than the price.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -230 and +190 they come to 104.2%. Taken out, the Jets are 66.9% and the Canucks 33.1%.
Every input is from 2025-26, and this season is outside the method. Both teams have started badly. The Jets are 5-8-3, 2-4-1 at home, and won 5-4 in overtime in Montreal on Tuesday, 3 November. Stuart Skinner has played 11 of their games, Nico Daws 6 and Clay Stevenson 5. The Canucks are 3-13-1, 2-6-1 on the road, and lost 5-4 at home to Anaheim on the same night. Leevi Merilainen has played 11 of their games and Kevin Lankinen 9.
Winnipeg at home, Vancouver on the road
The two halves the method uses are closer than the records suggest. The Jets at home scored 3.02 a game and allowed 3.1, a deficit of 0.08. The Canucks on the road scored 2.8 and allowed 3.8, a deficit of 1.0.
The halves the method leaves out: Winnipeg on the road went 16-19-6, a 39.0% win rate, scoring 2.61 and allowing 3.24. Vancouver at home went 9-27-5, a 22.0% win rate, scoring 2.46 and allowing 3.9. The Canucks were a worse team in their own arena than away from it, and that half is not in our number.
The 2025-26 season
Neither team made the playoffs. Winnipeg went 35-35-12 with 82 points and was outscored by 29. Vancouver went 25-49-8 with 58 points and was outscored by 100, the weaker season of the two by a wide distance.
Close games went better for Vancouver than the record would suggest. The Canucks went 15-9-8 in one-goal games and won 10 of the 18 that went past regulation. The Jets went 16-12-12 in one-goal games and won 7 of their 19 past 60 minutes. Vancouver lost by two goals or more in 40 of 82 games, Winnipeg in 23.
The Jets won all three meetings in 2025-26. Two were in Vancouver: 5-3 on 11 November 2025 and 3-2 in overtime on 25 February 2026. Those are in neither half of our number. The third, a 3-2 overtime win in Winnipeg on 7 March 2026, is in both halves.
Pick: Canucks +190
Bet the Canucks on the moneyline at +190. The gap is 13.2 points toward Vancouver, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Canucks +190 and Jets -230 on 4 November 2026 at 16:32 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at +180 and -218. Since the open the market has moved toward the Jets: it gave Winnipeg 65.7% at the open and gives 66.9% now, 1.2 points more.
What kills the bet
A shorter Vancouver price. At +142 or longer the Canucks are a bet whatever Winnipeg is priced at. Against the Jets at -230, they stay a bet down to +104.
For the Jets to become the bet, they would have to be +106 or longer whatever Vancouver’s price. Against the Canucks at +190, they would need +205 or longer. They are -230.
The rest is on the ice. Vancouver’s 3-13-1 start is not in our number. ESPN’s injury list has Thatcher Demko on injured reserve with a hip injury, along with Filip Chytil, Akil Thomas and Mackenzie MacEachern, and Tom Willander day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Winnipeg lists Vladislav Namestnikov, Nick Bjugstad and Josh Morrissey on injured reserve. Check the lineups before you bet.
The total and the puck line
The total is 6.5, over +105 and under -125. The Jets’ games went over 6.5 in 39 of 82, a 47.6% rate. The Canucks’ games went over in 46 of 82, a 56.1% rate. Winnipeg’s home games averaged 6.12 goals and Vancouver’s road games 6.6.
Averaged, our number has the over at 51.8%. With the margin removed the over is priced at 46.8% and the under at 53.2%, a gap of 5.1 points toward the over. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean over, not a bet.
On the puck line, Winnipeg is -1.5 at +102 and Vancouver +1.5 at -122, which is 47.4% and 52.6% without the margin. Over the full season the Jets won by two goals or more in 19 of 82 games, and the Canucks lost by two or more in 40 of 82. Averaged, Jets -1.5 lands 36.0% of the time against 47.4% priced, a gap of 11.4 points toward Canucks +1.5. That is a lean on the same side, never a second bet. One bet on this game: the Canucks at +190.
