Jets vs Panthers Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Bet the Jets at +180. Our number makes Winnipeg a 40.8% winner in Florida, and the price says 34.3%.

The Winnipeg Jets are +180 and the Florida Panthers -218 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 34.3% for Winnipeg and 65.7% for Florida. The gap between our 40.8% and the price’s 34.3% is 6.5 points, and the whole case for the bet rests on it.

How 59.2% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out of both splits.

The Panthers went 23-14-3 at Amerant Bank Arena, a 57.5% home win rate. The Jets went 16-19-6 on the road, a 61.0% road loss rate once overtime and shootout losses count as losses. Averaged, Florida is 59.2% and Winnipeg 40.8%. The price has Florida at 65.7%, so it rates the home side 6.5 points higher than our number does.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At +180 and -218 the two come to 104.3%. With it taken out, the Jets are 34.3% and the Panthers 65.7%.

Every input is from 2025-26. This season is not in the figures. Florida is 7-4-2, 2-1-0 at home, and beat Winnipeg 5-1 in Winnipeg on Tuesday 27 October. Akira Schmid has appeared in seven Panthers games, Jacob Markstrom in six and Cooper Black in one. Winnipeg is 4-5-3, 2-1-2 on the road. Stuart Skinner has appeared in eight Jets games, Nico Daws in four and Clay Stevenson in four. Tuesday’s 5-1 result is the most recent evidence on these two teams, and it sits outside the method.

Florida at home, Winnipeg on the road

At home last season the Panthers scored 3.3 a game and allowed 2.95, a surplus of 0.35. The Jets on the road scored 2.61 and allowed 3.24, a deficit of 0.63. Both halves the method uses point the same way, but neither is as strong as -218 implies.

The halves the method leaves out: Florida on the road went 17-23-1, a 41.5% win rate, scoring 2.88 and allowing 3.73. Winnipeg at home went 19-16-6, 46.3%, scoring 3.02 and allowing 3.10. The Panthers were a below-average road team, and that half is not in our number.

The season around it

These two finished 2 points apart. Florida went 40-38-4 with 84 points and a goal difference of -25. Winnipeg went 35-35-12 with 82 points and a goal difference of -29. Both missed the playoffs.

The Panthers were strong in close games. They went 21-6-4 in one-goal games and won 8 of the 12 that went past regulation. The Jets went 16-12-12 in one-goal games and won 7 of 19 past 60 minutes. Florida lost by two goals or more in 32 of 82 games; Winnipeg in 23 of 82.

The teams split two meetings in 2025-26. Florida won 2-1 in a shootout in Winnipeg on Thursday 22 January 2026, a game in neither half of our number. Winnipeg won 2-1 in Florida on Saturday 31 January 2026, and that game sits inside both halves.

Pick: Jets +180

A side is a bet when our number and the market’s differ by at least 5 points. Bet the Jets on the moneyline at +180: the gap is 6.5 points toward Winnipeg, against a threshold of 5.

The line read Jets +180 and Panthers -218 on 29 October 2026 at 19:12 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, +180 and -218, and has not moved.

What kills the bet

A shorter Winnipeg price. At +179 or longer the Jets are a bet whatever Florida is priced at. Against Florida at -218, they stay a bet down to +162.

For the Panthers to become the bet against the Jets at +180, they would have to be +137 or longer. They are -218.

The rest is on the ice. ESPN’s injury list has Brad Marchand, Aleksander Barkov, Jacob Markstrom and Jonah Gadjovich on injured reserve for Florida. Winnipeg lists Vladislav Namestnikov, Nick Bjugstad, Josh Morrissey and Garrett Brown on injured reserve. Our number is built on last season and is not re-run for any of them. Check the lineups before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 6.5, over +110 and under -130. The Panthers’ games went over 6.5 in 42 of 82, the Jets’ in 39 of 82. Florida’s home games averaged 6.25 goals, Winnipeg’s road games 5.85.

That is 51.2% and 47.6%, an average of 49.4% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 45.7% and the under at 54.3%, so our number leans to the over by 3.7 points. That is under the threshold. Pass on the total.

On the puck line, Florida is -1.5 at +114 and Winnipeg +1.5 at -135, which is 44.9% and 55.1% without the margin. Last season the Panthers won by two goals or more in 19 of 82 games, and the Jets lost by two or more in 23 of 82. Averaged, Panthers -1.5 lands 25.6% of the time against 44.9% priced, a gap of 19.2 points toward Jets +1.5. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, on the same side. One bet on this game: the Jets at +180.
