76ers vs Pistons Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Pistons at -125. Our number gives Detroit at home 61.9%; the price gives them 53.4%.
The Philadelphia 76ers are +106 and the Detroit Pistons -125 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 46.6% for Philadelphia and 53.4% for Detroit. Last season’s home and road records put Detroit 8.5 points higher than the price does. We bet at 5.
How 61.9% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Games at a neutral site are in neither half. Detroit played one, which is why its home sample is 40 games. Philadelphia played none.
The Pistons went 31-9 at Little Caesars Arena, a 77.5% home win rate over 40 games. The 76ers went 22-19 on the road, a 46.3% road loss rate over 41. The midpoint is 61.9% for Detroit and 38.1% for Philadelphia.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -125 and +106 it comes to 104.1%. Taken out, the Pistons are 53.4% and the 76ers 46.6%.
This season is not in our number. Detroit is 6-1, 2-0 at home, and won 124-91 at the Charlotte Hornets on Monday 2 November. Philadelphia is 7-1, 3-0 on the road, and beat the Chicago Bulls 126-107 the same night. That is fifteen games between the two teams, and the method sets them aside. A better start belongs to the visitor, and that is the main thing our number does not see.
Detroit at home, Philadelphia on the road
At home the Pistons scored 118.6 points a game and allowed 108.2, a margin of 10.4. On the road the 76ers scored 116.4 and allowed 115.6, a margin of 0.8.
The method leaves two halves out. Detroit on the road went 28-13, scoring 116.8 and allowing 111.0. Philadelphia at home went 23-18, scoring 115.4 and allowing 116.5, a margin of -1.1 in its own building.
Over the full 2025-26 season, the Pistons finished 60-22 and first in the Eastern Conference. They scored 117.8 a game and allowed 109.6, a difference of 8.2. The 76ers finished 45-37 as the seventh seed, scoring 115.9 and allowing 116.1, a difference of -0.2.
The spread of results tells the same story. Detroit won 34 games by 10 or more and lost 8 that way. Philadelphia won 26 by 10 or more and lost 20. In games decided by 5 points or fewer, the Pistons were 14-10 and the 76ers 10-10. Detroit went to overtime five times, Philadelphia seven.
In the playoffs Detroit beat the Orlando Magic 4-3 and lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-3. Philadelphia beat the Boston Celtics 4-3 and was swept 4-0 by the New York Knicks.
The Pistons won all four games between the teams. In Detroit they won 114-105 on 14 November 2025 and 131-109 on 12 March 2026. Those two are in our number: two of the Pistons’ 40 home games and two of the 76ers’ 41 road games. In Philadelphia they won 111-108 on 9 November 2025 and 116-93 on 4 April 2026. Those are in neither half.
Pick: Pistons -125
Bet the Pistons on the moneyline at -125. The gap is 8.5 points toward Detroit, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Pistons -125 and 76ers +106 on 3 November 2026 at 06:35 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Pistons -119 and 76ers +101. Since the open the market has moved toward Detroit, giving the Pistons 52.2% then and 53.4% now.
What kills the bet
A shorter Detroit price. At -132 or longer the Pistons are a bet whatever Philadelphia is priced at. With the 76ers at +106, Detroit stays a bet down to -179.
For the 76ers to become the bet, the price would have to drift a long way. They are a bet at +202 or longer whatever the Detroit price, or at +263 or longer against the Pistons at -125. They are +106.
ESPN’s game page, read 3 November 2026 at 06:35 UTC, lists Jalen Duren (hamstring) and Isaiah Joe (hip) out for Detroit, and Dominick Barlow (back) and Ariel Hukporti (Achilles) out for Philadelphia. Our method reads last season’s home and road rates only, so the list does not change the number. Duren missing is the absence to watch. Check the lineups before you bet.
The total and the spread
The total is 219.5, over -110 and under -110. The Pistons’ home games went over 219.5 in 23 of 40, a 57.5% rate. The 76ers’ road games went over in 28 of 41, or 68.3%. Detroit’s home games averaged 226.8 points and Philadelphia’s road games 232.0.
The average of those two rates is 62.9% for the over. The market prices it at 50.0%, so our count leans to the over by 12.9 points. Across all 82 games, the Pistons went over this line 51 times and the 76ers 58. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Pistons -1.5 at -115 and 76ers +1.5 at -105, unchanged from the open. Detroit beat -1.5 at home in 29 of 40 games. Philadelphia beat +1.5 on the road in 23 of 41. Averaged, Pistons -1.5 lands 58.2% of the time against 51.1% priced, a gap of 7.1 points toward Detroit. That is a lean on the same side. One bet on this game: the Pistons at -125.
