Bears vs Seahawks Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Take the Seahawks -3. Our number makes Seattle a 6.06-point favourite, a 3.06-point edge over the line.
Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks, Monday 2 November 2026, 8:15 pm ET, Week 8. This prediction rests on one gap. Our number is Seattle by 6.06, the market is Seattle by 3, and my threshold for a bet is 2 points.
The odds and what they say
All 11 books read have Seattle -3, from the median read through Nucleus on 1 November 2026 at 01:33 UTC. Chicago +3 is priced from -110 to +102 across those books. The total is 46.5 at all 11.
The first quotes, on 10 September, had Chicago at +4.5 and +5. The line was +3.5 on 29 October and reached +3 on 1 November at 01:10 UTC.
The moneyline median is Seattle -172 and Chicago +144. A book builds in a margin: the extra that makes the two prices add up to more than 100%. With the margin taken out, those prices give Seattle a 60.7% chance to win and Chicago 39.3%.
How 6.06 is reached
The method, in one clause: half the gap between the two teams’ points differential per game, plus 2.5 points for home field. Over the 2025 regular season Seattle outscored opponents by 11.24 points a game and Chicago by 1.53. That gives Seattle by 7.35, an edge of 4.35 points against the line of 3.
This season is closer. In seven games each, Seattle is +6.14 a game and Chicago +5.29, which gives Seattle by 2.93. On its own that is no edge. The line is 3.
Weight the two seasons by games played and the number is Seattle by 6.06. The rule: a gap of at least 2 points on 2025 and on the weighted blend, both pointing the same way. Seattle clears it at 4.35 and 3.06. Two is the smallest edge I bet, because a number built on season rates carries more error than that.
The honest weakness is the 2026 figure. Seven games are a thin sample, and the blend gives them their share and no more.
This season so far
Chicago is 5-2, with 180 points scored and 143 allowed. Seattle is 4-3, scoring 168 and allowing 125. The records sit outside our number. The points sit inside it, through the 2026 differentials.
Seattle’s losses were 33-31 at Washington, 32-29 at home to San Francisco and 17-14 at Denver. Chicago lost 9-3 at home to Minnesota and 31-7 at Green Bay. Last week Seattle beat Kansas City 20-3, covering as a 3-point favourite. Chicago beat New England 30-24, covering -3.
Seattle at home, Chicago on the road
In 2025 Seattle went 6-2 at home, scoring 30.6 a game and allowing 20.2. Chicago went 5-4 on the road, scoring 26.2 and allowing 30.4. These splits leave out neutral-site games.
Our method uses none of these splits. It takes whole-season rates and adds a flat 2.5 for home field. The halves it leaves out: Seattle went 8-1 away in 2025, allowing 14.4 a game, and Chicago went 6-2 at home, allowing 17.6.
This season Seattle is 3-1 at home, with wins over New England 13-10, the Chargers 30-23 and Kansas City 20-3. Chicago is 2-1 on the road, winning 59-37 at Carolina and 31-23 at Atlanta. Four games and three games are not a rate.
The season around it
Seattle finished 2025 at 14-3 with a point difference of +191, scoring 28.4 a game and allowing 17.2. It went 6-3 in one-score games and 4-2 in the NFC West. In the playoffs it beat San Francisco 41-6 and the Rams 31-27 at home, then won the Super Bowl 29-13 over New England in Santa Clara.
Chicago went 11-6 with a difference of +26, scoring 25.9 and allowing 24.4. The Bears were 7-4 in one-score games and 2-4 in the NFC North. They beat Green Bay 31-27 in the Wild Card round and lost 20-17 to the Rams in the Divisional round, both at home.
Playoff games are outside our number, which uses regular-season results. The data holds no game between these two teams from 2025 onward, so no meeting sits inside the number either.
Pick: Seahawks -3
The edge is 3.06 points on the weighted blend and 4.35 on 2025, against a threshold of 2. Seattle -3 is the line at all 11 books, median read 1 November 2026 at 01:33 UTC.
The spread opened on 10 September with Chicago at +4.5 and +5. Every move since has been toward a smaller Seattle number, and each half point it gives up adds to the edge.
What kills the bet
The price first. Seattle is a bet at -4.06 or better, so -3, -3.5 and -4 are bets and -4.5 is a pass. Chicago becomes the bet only at +9.35 or better, which no book is near.
The data behind this page carries no injury list. Read the injury report and check the lineups before you bet. If this season’s seven games were the whole story, Seattle by 2.93 would be no edge, and the bet stands on the blend.
The total and the moneyline
The total method: each team’s expected points are the average of what it scored a game and what the other side allowed. On 2025 that puts Chicago at 21.55 and Seattle at 26.4, a total of 47.95 and an edge of 1.45 on the over. This season alone gives 44.0. The blend gives 46.8, an edge of 0.3. Neither clears 2, so no bet.
The over would be a bet at 44.8 or lower, the under at 49.95 or higher. The total was 47.5 and 47 on 26 October and is 46.5 now. In 2025, 8 Chicago games went over 46.5 and 9 under. For Seattle it was 7 over and 10 under. This season 3 of 7 have gone over for each team.
The moneyline is context only. The method stakes the spread, and Seattle -172 is the same side at a worse shape for this edge. No second bet.
