Chiefs vs Broncos Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Our Chiefs vs Broncos prediction: take the Broncos +1. Our number has Denver winning by 2.83 at home, and the market has Denver as a 1-point underdog.
The game is Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos, Sunday 1 November 2026, 4:25 pm ET. The median of 11 books, read through Nucleus on 31 October 2026 at 05:10 UTC, has Kansas City -1 and Denver +1. Our number is Denver by 2.83. That gap of 3.83 points is the whole argument.
The prices and what they say
Six books have Kansas City -1. Four have Kansas City -1.5, and one has the game at pick’em. Kansas City’s spread prices run from -120 to -105 across the 11 books, and every one of them has the total at 40.5.
The moneyline, from 10 books, is Kansas City -120 and Denver +100. A book builds in a margin, the extra that makes the two prices add to more than 100% when you turn them into chances. With the margin taken out, the market gives Kansas City a 52.2% chance to win and Denver 47.8%. The market sees close to a coin flip, with a small lean to the visitor.
How Denver by 2.83 is reached
The method, in one clause: half the gap between the two teams’ per-game point differentials, plus 2.5 points for home field. Over 17 games in 2025, Denver outscored opponents by 5.29 points a game and Kansas City by 2.0. That gives Denver by 4.15. Against Denver +1, the edge is 5.15 points.
This season shows a different picture. Denver is +0.43 a game over seven games, and Kansas City is +6.67 over six. On 2026 alone, Kansas City wins by 0.62. Weight the two seasons by games played and the number is Denver by 2.83, an edge of 3.83 on Denver +1.
The threshold is two points, and it has to hold on 2025 and on the weighted blend, in the same direction. Below two I pass, because a number built on season rates carries more error than that. The 2025 edge is 5.15 and the weighted edge is 3.83. The smaller one is the edge I quote.
This season so far
Records sit outside the method: only points scored and allowed go into the number. Kansas City is 5-1, 3-0 at home and 2-1 on the road, with 143 points scored and 103 allowed. Denver is 5-2, 3-0 at home and 2-2 on the road, on 144 scored and 141 allowed.
The last result is also outside the number. Kansas City lost 20-3 at Seattle in Week 7. Denver won 30-16 at Arizona the same week.
Denver’s three home games this season: 20-13 over Jacksonville as a 2.5-point favourite, 30-26 over the Rams as a 1-point underdog, and 17-14 over Seattle as a 2.5-point underdog. Denver covered all three. Three games are not a rate.
Denver at home, Kansas City on the road
The method uses no venue splits. Home field is a flat 2.5 points for every game. The splits are below because they are the obvious question, and they leave out neutral-site games.
In 2025 Denver went 8-1 at home, scoring 25.6 a game and allowing 17.8. Kansas City went 1-6 on the road, scoring 19.9 and allowing 23.0. Neither number enters our figure.
The halves the method also leaves out: Denver went 5-2 on the road, scoring 22.6 and allowing 20.0. Kansas City went 5-4 at home, scoring 22.4 and allowing 15.6.
The season around it
Denver went 14-3 in 2025 with a point differential of +90. It was 11-2 in one-score games and 5-1 in the AFC West. In the playoffs it beat Buffalo 33-30 at home in the divisional round, then lost 10-7 to New England at home in the conference championship.
Kansas City went 6-11 with a differential of +34. It was 1-9 in one-score games and 1-5 in the division, and missed the playoffs. Ten close games is a thin sample, and the record in them proves little. The method reads the +34. That is why a 6-11 team still rates at +2.0 a game.
The teams met twice in 2025, and Denver won both. On 16 November, Week 11, Kansas City lost 22-19 in Denver. On 25 December, Week 17, Denver won 20-13 in Kansas City. Both games are inside the 2025 differentials.
The last meeting went the other way. On 14 September 2026, in Week 1, Kansas City beat Denver 31-10 at home and covered as a 1.5-point favourite. The two teams scored 41 points against a closing total of 42.5. That game is inside the 2026 numbers and so inside the weighted blend. Three meetings prove nothing about this one.
Pick: Broncos +1
The bet is Denver +1. The weighted edge is 3.83 points against a threshold of two, and the 2025 edge is 5.15. The line is the median of 11 books via Nucleus, read 31 October 2026 at 05:10 UTC. Four of those books have Denver +1.5. That is the same bet at a better number.
The line opened on 13 September with Kansas City +1.5. On 26 October it was Kansas City -2. The median now is Kansas City -1.
What kills the bet
The price first. Denver is a bet at -0.83 or better, so Denver -0.5 still qualifies and Denver -1 does not. Kansas City becomes the bet only at +6.15 or better.
This season is the risk. On 2026 alone the number is Kansas City by 0.62, close to the market. The rule does not stake a side on seven weeks of results. In my view, every further game like Kansas City’s first six pulls the weighted number toward the market.

The total: no bet at 40.5
The method for the total: each team’s expected points are the average of what it scored a game and what the other side allowed. On 2025, Kansas City comes out at 19.8 and Denver at 21.45, a total of 41.25. On 2026 alone the total is 40.86, and the weighted number is 41.14.
Against 40.5, that is an edge of 0.75 on the over from 2025 and 0.64 from the blend. Both fall short of two points, so this is a pass. The over becomes a bet at 39.14 or lower, and the under at 43.25 or higher.
The 2025 games sit on both sides of the line. Kansas City went 8 over and 9 under 40.5, and Denver went 9 over and 8 under. The median total in Denver games was 41, and in Kansas City games 37. This season, three games of each team have gone over 40.5.
The total opened at 43.5 on 13 September. It was 40 on 26 October, and all 11 books now have 40.5. Our method stakes the spread here. The moneyline is context, and there is no bet on it.
