Maple Leafs vs Kraken Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Kraken on the moneyline. Our number makes Seattle a 56.1% winner at home against Toronto, and the price says 48.9%.
The Seattle Kraken are -105 and the Toronto Maple Leafs -115 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 48.9% for Seattle and 51.1% for Toronto. The price has the visitors as a slight favourite. Our number has the home team ahead, and the gap is 7.2 points.
How 56.1% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out. A side is a bet when our number and the market’s differ by at least 5 points.
The Kraken went 19-17-5 at Climate Pledge Arena, a 46.3% home win rate. That is a weak figure on its own. The Maple Leafs went 14-21-6 on the road, a 65.9% road loss rate, and that is the number doing the work.
Average 46.3% with 65.9% and the Kraken are 56.1%, the Maple Leafs 43.9%. That is 7.2 points better for Seattle than the price, against a threshold of 5.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -105 and -115 they come to 104.7%. Taken out, the Kraken are 48.9% and the Maple Leafs 51.1%.
Every input is from 2025-26. This season is not in the figures. The Kraken are 7-4-1, 3-2-0 at home, and lost 5-1 to Minnesota on Saturday. Philipp Grubauer has played seven of their games and Joey Daccord six. The Maple Leafs are 7-5-2, 3-2-1 on the road, and lost 5-2 at Calgary on Monday. Sergei Bobrovsky has played nine of their games and Anthony Stolarz five. None of this moves our number.
Seattle at home, Toronto on the road
Over the full season the Kraken at home scored 2.95 a game and allowed 3.05, a deficit of 0.1. The Maple Leafs on the road scored 2.88 and allowed 3.76, a deficit of 0.88. Neither half is a good team. Toronto’s is the worse one by a wide distance.
The halves the method leaves out: Seattle on the road went 15-20-6, a 36.6% win rate, scoring 2.56 and allowing 3.37. Toronto at home went 18-15-8, a 43.9% win rate, scoring 3.29 and allowing 3.54. Those halves are not in our number.
Both teams missed the playoffs. Seattle went 34-37-11 with 79 points and was outscored by 37. Toronto went 32-36-14 with 78 points and was outscored by 46. The Maple Leafs allowed 3.65 goals a game over the season, the Kraken 3.21.
Close games were a strength for both. The Kraken went 13-5-11 in one-goal games and won 8 of the 19 that went past regulation. The Maple Leafs went 14-4-14 in one-goal games and won 9 of 23 past 60 minutes. Each team lost by two goals or more in 32 of 82 games.
Seattle won both meetings in 2025-26. The first, 4-3 in overtime on 18 October 2025, was played in Toronto, so it sits in neither half of our number. The second, 5-2 on 29 January 2026, was played in Seattle and is inside both halves: a Kraken home win and a Maple Leafs road loss. Two games prove nothing on their own.
Pick: Kraken -105
Bet the Kraken on the moneyline at -105. The gap is 7.2 points toward Seattle, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Kraken -105 and Maple Leafs -115 on 27 October 2026 at 19:03 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at -110 on both sides, 50.0% each. Since the open the market has moved toward Toronto, giving the Maple Leafs 1.1 points more.
What kills the bet
A shorter Seattle price. At -104 or longer the Kraken are a bet whatever Toronto is priced at; against Toronto at -115, they stay a bet down to -127. Past -127, pass.
For the Maple Leafs to become the bet, they would have to be +207 or longer against Seattle at -105, or +157 or longer whatever Seattle is priced at. They are -115.
The rest is on the ice. ESPN’s injury list has John Tavares, Dakota Joshua, Nick Blankenburg and Marshall Rifai on injured reserve for Toronto, and Kirill Marchenko day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Seattle lists Jared McCann, Jacob Melanson, Ryan Lindgren and Jake O’Brien on injured reserve. No goalie is on either list, and none of these absences changes the method. Check the lineups before you bet.
The total and the puck line
The total is 6.5, over -120 and under +100. The Kraken’s games went over 6.5 in 29 of 82, the Maple Leafs’ in 46 of 82. Seattle’s home games averaged 6.0 goals, Toronto’s road games 6.64.
That is 35.4% and 56.1%, an average of 45.7% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 52.2% and the under at 47.8%, so our number leans to the under by 6.4 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only. Under 6.5 is a lean, not a second bet.
On the puck line, Toronto is -1.5 at +195 and Seattle +1.5 at -238, which is 32.5% and 67.5% without the margin. Over the full season the Maple Leafs won by two goals or more in 18 of 82 games, and the Kraken lost by two or more in 32 of 82. Averaged, Maple Leafs -1.5 lands 30.5% of the time against 32.5% priced, a gap of 2.0 points toward Kraken +1.5. That is under the threshold and on the same side. One bet on this game: the Kraken at -105.
