Cavaliers vs Bucks Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Bucks on the moneyline. Our number gives Milwaukee at home 42.7%; the price gives them 24.9%.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are -360 and the Milwaukee Bucks +285 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 75.1% for Cleveland and 24.9% for Milwaukee. Last season’s home and road records put Milwaukee 17.8 points higher than that. We bet at 5.
How 42.7% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Games at a neutral site sit in neither half, and neither team played one.
The Bucks went 19-22 at Fiserv Forum, a 46.3% home win rate over 41 games. The Cavaliers went 25-16 on the road, a 39.0% road loss rate over 41. The midpoint is 42.7% for Milwaukee and 57.3% for Cleveland.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At +285 and -360 the pair comes to 104.2%. Taken out, the Bucks are 24.9% and the Cavaliers 75.1%.
This season is not in our number. The Bucks are 1-4, 1-2 at home, and lost their last game 132-100 to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday 28 October. The Cavaliers are 3-2, 0-2 on the road, and lost 114-111 at the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday 29 October. Five games each is too few to read anything into. Our number reads 2025-26 only, and summer roster changes are outside it too. That is the main risk in this bet.
Milwaukee at home, Cleveland on the road
At home the Bucks scored 114.2 points a game and allowed 118.2, a deficit of 4.0. On the road the Cavaliers scored 119.9 and allowed 116.2, a surplus of 3.7. Those are the two halves the method uses.
The halves it leaves out look worse for Milwaukee. The Bucks went 13-28 on the road, scoring 107.1 and allowing 115.5. The Cavaliers went 27-14 at home, scoring 119.2 and allowing 114.6.
Over the full season, Cleveland finished 52-30, fourth in the East, outscoring opponents by 4.1 points a game. Milwaukee finished 32-50, 11th, and was outscored by 6.2 a game. The Cavaliers won 27 games by 10 or more and lost 17 that way. The Bucks won 19 by 10 or more and lost 33.
In games decided by 5 points or fewer, Cleveland went 13-7 and Milwaukee 9-8; each played 3 overtime games. Milwaukee missed the playoffs. Cleveland beat the Toronto Raptors 4-3 and the Detroit Pistons 4-3, then lost 4-0 to the New York Knicks.
The Cavaliers won three of the four meetings. In Milwaukee, the Bucks won 118-116 on 25 February 2026 and the Cavaliers won 123-116 on 17 March 2026. Both are in our number, as two of the Bucks’ 41 home games and two of the Cavaliers’ 41 road games. In Cleveland, the Cavaliers won 118-113 on 26 October 2025 and 118-106 on 17 November 2025. Those are in neither half.
Pick: Bucks +285
Bet the Bucks on the moneyline at +285. The gap is 17.8 points toward Milwaukee, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Bucks +285 and Cavaliers -360 on 31 October 2026 at 04:56 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, Bucks +285 and Cavaliers -360, so it has not moved.
What kills the bet
A shorter Milwaukee price. At +165 or longer the Bucks are a bet whatever Cleveland is priced at. With the Cavaliers at -360, they stay a bet down to +111.
The Cavaliers become the bet at -109 or longer, whatever the Bucks are priced at. Against the current Bucks price of +285, Cleveland would have to be +251 or longer. It is -360.
ESPN’s injury list for the game, read 31 October 2026 at 04:56 UTC, has Jaylon Tyson (ankle) out and Meleek Thomas (foot) day-to-day for Cleveland. It lists no Milwaukee player. The list does not change our number. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Milwaukee a 57.3% chance of losing. The case is the price: +285 pays as if the Bucks win 24.9% of the time, and last season’s splits say 42.7%.
The total and the spread
The total is 237.5, over -115 and under -105. The Bucks’ home games went over 237.5 in 15 of 41, a 36.6% rate, and averaged 232.4 points. The Cavaliers’ road games went over in 20 of 41, a 48.8% rate, and averaged 236.1. Across all 82 games, Milwaukee went over this line 20 times and Cleveland 37.
The average of the two venue rates is 42.7% for the over. With the margin out the over is priced at 51.1% and the under at 48.9%, so our count leans to the under by 8.4 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Bucks +9.5 at -115 and Cavaliers -9.5 at -105, unchanged from the opening line. Milwaukee at home would have covered +9.5 in 26 of 41 games. Cleveland on the road would have covered -9.5 in 11 of 41. Averaged, Bucks +9.5 lands 68.3% of the time against 51.1% priced, a gap of 17.2 points toward Milwaukee. That is a lean on the same side. One bet on this game: the Bucks at +285.
