The Galaxy have lost more money as MLS favorites so far this season than as underdogs: 3.46 units down in 14 games as the favorite, 0.1 down in 14 as the underdog. Two road wins at +310 and +320 paid 6.3 units between them.

Underdog, not favorite

The position first: across 28 games, the Galaxy’s moneyline has been closer to even when the market doubts them. As the underdog they are 4-4-6 for 0.1 units lost. As the favorite, 5-5-4 and 3.46 lost. The five wins as favorite paid 5.54 units; the five draws cost five.

The two big underdog wins both came away from home: 2-0 at the Seattle Sounders FC at +310 on 16 May, and 3-2 at Minnesota United FC at +320 on 19 September. In the twelve road games where they were the underdog, the Galaxy went 4-3-5 and finished 1.9 units up.

Sporting Kansas City, twice

Sporting Kansas City beat the Galaxy in both meetings, and the Galaxy were favored both times: 1-2 at home at -175 in March, 1-3 away at -135 in May. Those were the two shortest prices the Galaxy lost at all season. Elsewhere the repeat meetings went their way twice: 2.2 units from Minnesota and 2.1 from Seattle. FC Dallas drew both games; Houston Dynamo FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC each won one and drew one.

The months

March went 0-1-2 for three units lost; July the same; August 1-2-2 and 3.31 lost. September flipped it: 3-1-1 and 3.7 units made. The full 28 come to 9-9-10 and 3.56 units down, the middle of MLS, with 15 clubs ahead.

In one-goal games the Galaxy are 7-4. They score 1.32 goals a game, and 21 clubs score more.
