Rick Austin

Rick Austin writes a card you can audit. Every bet he makes is a heading with a price on it, and every heading carries a floor: the worst number at which the bet still stands, because you are reading it hours after he wrote it. He opens with his record — season, units, rate — and he publishes it after a losing week in exactly the type it gets after a winning one. His arguments are football rather than mathematics: the line, the injury report, the play-caller, the way the game is likely to be scripted. He will tell you how a call could go wrong and then make it anyway, and he refers back to his own bets by name, including the ones that lost. He bets alongside you, and he writes as if the money were his.
