Toledo Rockets

The Rockets covered the spread in all six home games in 2025 and allowed 12.17 points a game, which only three FBS teams bettered. Toledo went 9-3 against the spread, and one unit on it to win every game still finished 2.81 down.

Six home games, six covers

Toledo won every home game and beat every home number: 45-21 over Western Kentucky at -7.5, 60-0 over Morgan State at -33.5, 45-3 over Akron at -22.5, 45-10 over Kent State at -25.5, 42-3 over Northern Illinois at -15.5 and 38-9 over Ball State at -28.5. Three other FBS teams also covered every home game. The moneyline paid little for it, 0.54 units, from prices of -290 and shorter.

Three road losses as favorites

Away from home the Rockets went 2-4. Three of the losses came with Toledo laying points: 13-14 at Western Michigan at -11.5 (priced -550), 23-28 at Bowling Green at -10.5 (-425) and 7-28 at Washington State at -1.5. Those three cost three units, and the road moneyline finished 3.35 down. The fourth road loss, 16-24 at Kentucky in the opener, came as a 9.5-point underdog and covered.

Covering and winning

Nine covers in 12: seven FBS teams covered more often, two matched. As a favorite Toledo went 8-3, the same 8-3 against the number, and lost 1.81 moneyline units doing it. November was four wins and four covers, all by 18 points or more.

Toledo’s totals went six over, six under. The Rockets lost the Boca Raton Bowl 22-27 to Louisville.
