Western Kentucky Hilltoppers

Western Kentucky football covered the spread in nine of 12 games in 2025, and only seven FBS teams covered more often, with two level. Backing the Hilltoppers to win every game, all 12 of them priced, still made only 0.73 units.

WKU went 8-4 and 9-3 against the spread; seven FBS teams had a better cover rate and two had the same. At home the Hilltoppers covered five of six, a rate ten FBS teams beat and seven matched. The one home miss was a 25-6 loss to Florida International as 9.5-point favorites at -380.

Short prices

The eight favorite games went 6-2 and covered six, yet one unit on WKU in them finished 0.32 down. The wins were priced short: 55-6 over North Alabama at -4000 paid 0.03, 42-26 over Middle Tennessee at -700 paid 0.14. The two losses cost a full unit each: the FIU game, and 37-34 at Jacksonville State at -120.

As underdogs

Getting points four times, WKU won two, covered three and made 1.05 units: 27-24 at Delaware at +130 and 28-27 at Louisiana Tech at +175. The 13-10 loss at LSU covered +25.5; the 45-21 loss at Toledo at +7.5 did not.
