Bucks vs Timberwolves Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Bucks at +295. Our number gives Milwaukee on the road 34.1%; the price gives them 24.3%.
The Milwaukee Bucks are +295 and the Minnesota Timberwolves -375 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 24.3% for Milwaukee and 75.7% for Minnesota. Last season’s home and road records put Milwaukee 9.8 points higher than the market. We bet at 5.
How 34.1% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Neutral-site games are in neither half, and neither team played one.
The Timberwolves went 26-15 at Target Center, a 63.4% home win rate over 41 games. The Bucks went 13-28 on the road, a 68.3% road loss rate over 41. The average is 65.9% for Minnesota and 34.1% for Milwaukee.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At +295 and -375 the pair comes to 104.3%. With that taken out, the Bucks are 24.3% and the Timberwolves 75.7%.
This season is not in our number. Minnesota is 4-3, 2-1 at home, and lost 121-111 at the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday 31 October. Milwaukee is 1-5, 0-2 on the road, and lost 136-111 to the Cleveland Cavaliers at home the same night. Seven games and six games are too few to say anything about either team. They are the first evidence the summer changed things, and the number cannot see them.
Minnesota at home, Milwaukee on the road
At home the Timberwolves scored 114.8 points a game and allowed 111.1, a margin of 3.7. The Bucks on the road scored 107.1 and allowed 115.5, a margin of -8.4. On last season’s evidence, that gap is what makes Minnesota the favourite. The gap in the market is larger still.
The halves the method leaves out: Minnesota on the road went 23-18, scoring 121.2 and allowing 118.2. Milwaukee at home went 19-22, scoring 114.2 and allowing 118.2.
Over the full 2025-26 season the Timberwolves finished 49-33, sixth in the West, with a point difference of 3.4 a game. They won 28 games by 10 or more and lost 18 by that much. In the playoffs they beat the Denver Nuggets 4-2 and lost to the San Antonio Spurs 4-2. The Bucks finished 32-50, eleventh in the East, with a point difference of -6.2 a game. They missed the playoffs. They won 19 games by 10 or more and lost 33.
Close games, decided by 5 points or fewer, went 11-12 for Minnesota and 9-8 for Milwaukee. That is 23 and 17 games, too few to read as skill either way.
The Timberwolves won both meetings. In Minneapolis on Sunday 21 December 2025 they won 103-100, and that game is in our number: one of Minnesota’s 41 home games and one of Milwaukee’s 41 road games. In Milwaukee on Tuesday 13 January 2026 they won 139-106, and that game is in neither half.
Pick: Bucks +295
Bet the Bucks on the moneyline at +295. The gap is 9.8 points toward Milwaukee, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Bucks +295 and Timberwolves -375 on 1 November 2026 at 23:45 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Bucks +275 and Timberwolves -345, when the market gave Milwaukee 25.6%. It has moved toward Minnesota since the open, by 1.3 points.
What kills the bet
A shorter Milwaukee price kills it. At +244 or longer the Bucks are a bet whatever Minnesota is priced at. With the Timberwolves at -375, they stay a bet down to +208.
For the Timberwolves to become the bet, their price would have to drift to -156 or longer whatever the Bucks price. With the Bucks at +295, Minnesota would have to reach +154. The current price is -375, a long way from either.
ESPN’s injury list for the game, read 1 November 2026 at 23:44 UTC, has Anthony Edwards (knee) and Donte DiVincenzo (Achilles) out for Minnesota. The list carries no Milwaukee players. The NBA has no key-player rule in our method, so the list does not change the number. Check the injury report and the lineups again before tip-off.
Our number still gives Milwaukee a 65.9% chance of losing. The case is that +295 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 233.5, over -110 and under -110. Minnesota’s home games went over 233.5 in 15 of 41, a 36.6% rate. Milwaukee’s road games went over in 7 of 41, a 17.1% rate. Across all 82 games, Minnesota’s went over in 38 and Milwaukee’s in 27. Minnesota’s home games averaged 225.9 points, Milwaukee’s road games 222.6.
The two venue rates average 26.8% for the over. The market prices it at 50.0%, so our count leans to the under by 23.2 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Timberwolves -11.5 at -105 and Bucks +11.5 at -115. It opened Timberwolves -10.5. Minnesota beat -11.5 in 12 of its 41 home games. Milwaukee beat +11.5 in 25 of its 41 road games. Averaged, Timberwolves -11.5 lands 34.1% of the time against 48.9% priced, a gap of 14.8 points toward Bucks +11.5. That is a lean on the same side, not a second bet. One bet on this game: the Bucks at +295.
