Wake Forest Demon Deacons

January, then the turn

Wake Forest went 2-6 in January and covered once; one unit on each game lost 4.78. Two of the six losses came at home as -112 favorites, 81-77 to Miami and 91-79 to SMU; a 96-78 home loss to NC State closed the month.

Virginia Tech was met three times, Wake winning two, the last 95-89 in the ACC tournament. NC State won both meetings and covered both. Clemson split two, taking the ACC tournament rematch 71-62.

After the ACC tournament Wake Forest beat Navy 82-72 in the NIT first round and lost 78-75 to Illinois State in the second.
