SMU Mustangs

College Basketball

The Mustangs won 15 of 18 at home in 2025-26 and three of 11 on the road, and the road spreads went the same way: four covers in 11. They opened 8-0, then went 12-13.

A team that travelled badly

Away from Dallas, SMU covered 4 of 11, 36.4%; only 45 Division I teams did worse on the road. One unit on the Mustangs in each of their ten priced road games lost 6.59 units, while the same bet at home finished 0.52 units up. Late February made the point: a 73-69 loss at California as 4.5-point favorites and a 95-75 loss at Stanford laying 1.5, back to back on one road trip.
