NFL Weather Report for Week 7: Forecasts for Every Outdoor Game

NFL weather report for Week 7, Thursday, October 22 to Monday, October 26: eight of the 14 games are at venues ESPN lists as open to the weather, and six are indoors. The forecasts below were read at 3:54 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday, October 20; for Cowboys at Eagles the hourly forecast did not yet reach kickoff, and the page is rebuilt as it does.

A forecast several days out can still change before kickoff. Each row gives the forecast for the kickoff hour and, over kickoff and the three hours after it, the strongest sustained wind and the highest chance of precipitation the forecast shows. US forecasts are the National Weather Service’s hourly forecast for the stadium’s city; a game abroad uses Open-Meteo’s forecast.

Where the weather could matter

The windiest forecast is Steelers at Saints at Stade de France, with sustained wind up to 14 mph during the game window. The highest chance of rain is 47% for Steelers at Saints, the same game. The coldest kickoff is Chiefs at Seahawks, at 55°F.

Wind and rain affect passing and kicking, which is why a forecast like this is read beside the total; how bettors weigh it is set out in our guide to weather and NFL betting. A forecast is not a pick, and our predictions below argue each game on its own numbers.

Indoor games

ESPN lists the venues of these six games as indoor, so no forecast is given: Colts at Vikings (U.S. Bank Stadium, Sun 1:00 p.m. ET), Giants at Texans (NRG Stadium, Sun 1:00 p.m. ET), 49ers at Falcons (Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Sun 1:00 p.m. ET), Broncos at Cardinals (State Farm Stadium, Sun 4:05 p.m. ET), Packers at Lions (Ford Field, Sun 4:25 p.m. ET) and Rams at Raiders (Allegiant Stadium, Sun 4:25 p.m. ET).

Who is expected to play in each game, and who is on the injury report, is on our NFL depth charts page. Every game of the week has its prediction on the NFL predictions hub.

Where these forecasts come from

Indoor or outdoor is ESPN’s venue listing. The US forecasts are the National Weather Service’s hourly forecasts from api.weather.gov for each stadium’s city, read at 3:54 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday, October 20 (the newest forecast update in the read is 3:26 a.m. ET on Tuesday, October 20); the forecast for the game abroad is Open-Meteo’s hourly forecast for its city. Totals are DraftKings’ from ESPN’s odds feed at the same read. Sustained wind is the hourly average speed; gusts run higher and are not shown.
