Fifteen games, two wins, four covers. A unit on the Clippers in every November game cost 11.41 units, and the defeats were not all long shots: at home they lost to the Phoenix Suns at -190, the Atlanta Hawks at -185, the Memphis Grizzlies at -265 and the Dallas Mavericks at -380.

December to March

From December through March the Clippers went 34-22 and covered 34 of those 56 games, 60.7%. January was the peak, 11-4 with ten covers. The moneyline across the four months made 5.15 units, which was not enough to climb out: the full season finished 42-40, with 42 covers in 82, and the blind unit 9.69 down. Fourteen teams covered more often over the season.

The shortest-priced defeat came inside that good run: 118-109 at home to the Sacramento Kings on 14 March, with Los Angeles at -950.

Home and road barely differed against the spread, 22 covers in 41 at home and 20 in 41 away. The moneyline lost on both sides of that split, 3.67 units at home and 6.03 on the road.

Getting points against laying them

As underdogs the Clippers covered 22 of 37, 59.5%; seven teams did better. As favorites they covered 20 of 45, 44.4%, and lost 5.28 units on the moneyline. The longest price cashed was +285, 115-96 at the Minnesota Timberwolves in February.

The teams met most

Ten Western opponents met the Clippers four times. Against the Houston Rockets and Minnesota they split 2-2 and covered all four both times. The Golden State Warriors won only one of four, and the Clippers covered three. Memphis was the opposite case: 3-1 to the Grizzlies, and no Clippers cover in four. The Oklahoma City Thunder won all three meetings, none covered.
