Our number has Indiana by 7.1. At +3, take Indiana.
Bet the Canucks at +310. Tampa Bay should win, but our number gives Vancouver 38.3% against the price's 23.4%, a 14.9-point gap.
Our number has Texas by 19.4. At -11.5, take Texas.
Our number has Notre Dame by 2.8. At +10.5, take BYU.

Our NFL predictions cover every game of the week, each with the spread, the total, the moneyline and our call, or a plain no bet when the line is right. All NFL predictions
Our MLB picks put a chance of winning on each team and set it against the moneyline. When the two are close, the page says no bet. All MLB predictions
NBA predictions with the spread, the total and the moneyline beside our own number, and the call. All NBA predictions
College football predictions for the games we cover, built from how each team has done at home and on the road, and set against the spread. All college football picks
Our NHL predictions turn each team’s home and road record into a chance of winning, and bet only when the price is clearly wrong. All NHL predictions

Our number has Texas by 19.4. At -11.5, take Texas.
Our number has Indiana by 7.1. At +3, take Indiana.
Our number has Alabama by half a point. At +7.5, take Tennessee.
No bet on Texas Tech -15.5. Our number has Texas Tech by 17.8, and the line is 2.3 points from it.
Our number has Georgia by 13. At +19.5, take Auburn.
No bet on the Capitals at -125. The price makes Washington a 53.2% winner, we make it 54.9%, and a 1.7-point gap is nowhere near enough.
Bet the Jets at +154. Connor Hellebuyck is out, and on the games Winnipeg played without him our number gives the Jets 49.9% against the pr…
Bet the Canucks at +310. Tampa Bay should win, but our number gives Vancouver 38.3% against the price's 23.4%, a 14.9-point gap.
No bet on the Kraken at +154. The price makes Florida a 62.2% winner, we make it 60.5%, and a 1.7-point gap is not enough.
Bet the Islanders at +114. The price makes Toronto the favourite; our number makes New York one, 53.7% to 46.3%, an 8.8-point gap.
No bet in London. My number has Jacksonville by 1.7 and the market asks 2.5, so Houston at +4 is where this becomes a bet.
Take the under 52. The total has climbed five points this month, and neither season's scoring gets these two teams near it.
New England was 22 points a game better than the Jets last season and lays a touchdown at home. Take the Patriots.
Eagles -1.5. The line opened at 6.5, my number is Philadelphia by 9.2, and we lay the short price.
Over 40.5, and only at 40.5. The total has fallen four points since it opened, and my number is 43.5. No bet on the side.

Read the full articleHow we make a prediction
Every prediction starts from results, not opinions. We take what each team has scored and allowed, at home and on the road, and turn it into our own number for the game: a margin for the point spread, a chance of winning for the moneyline.
Then we read the price at a US sportsbook and name the book and when we read it. The price carries the book’s margin, so we take that out before comparing. What is left is the market’s view of the game, set beside ours.
The gap between the two is the pick. When it is wide enough, the page makes the call and states the price it is good to. When it is not, the page says no bet. A free betting pick is only worth having at the right price, and most games do not offer one.
The prediction stays on its page after the game, as published, so every call can be checked against the result.

Scores and Stats publishes free predictions for the games people bet on most: the NFL and college football, the NBA and college basketball, MLB, the NHL, the WNBA and the biggest soccer leagues. Every prediction has its own page, posted before the game, with the spread, the total and the moneyline, our own number for the game, and the call.
There is no subscription and no sign-up wall in front of the pick. You get the whole argument: the price, the number we set against it, and the gap between the two. When the gap is too small to bet, the page says no bet, which is often the most useful thing a pick can tell you.
Every NFL game gets a prediction, from Thursday night to Monday night. We turn both teams’ results into a number of points and set it against the spread. When the two are far enough apart we take a side; when the total looks wrong we take the over or the under. The prices are updated before kickoff.
The college slate is huge and its lines move more than most. Each team’s results against FBS opponents, at home and on the road, sit behind our number, and a pick needs it to disagree with the line by a field goal or more.
The NBA, college basketball and the WNBA are long seasons with small edges. Each prediction gives the spread, the total and the moneyline, and the call or a clear no bet.
Baseball is priced on the moneyline, so our number is a chance of winning for each team, set against the price at a named sportsbook with its margin taken out. The run line and the total are on every page, through the postseason too.
Hockey games are often close to even, which is why the price matters so much. Each team’s record at home and on the road becomes a chance of winning, and a bet needs that chance to beat the moneyline by a clear margin.
A soccer game has three results, so each prediction prices all three, with the total goals line beside them. The draw can be the pick when the draw is the value.
The best bets on any day are the games where our number sits furthest from the market. Most games are priced about right, and saying so is part of the job.
The point spread asks a favorite to win by more than a number of points. The moneyline asks only who wins, with the price telling you how likely the book thinks it is. The total asks whether both teams together score over or under a number. Our guide to the moneyline shows how to read the odds.
Every prediction stays on its page after the game, exactly as published. The pick is never rewritten once the result is in, so you can judge us on the record, winners and losers alike.
Questions and answers
Quick answers about our free picks, the best bets today, and how to use a prediction.
Are your picks free?
Yes. Every prediction on Scores and Stats is free to read.
What sports do you cover?
The NFL, college football, the NBA, MLB, the NHL and soccer. Each sport has its own page, listing its games as they come up.
What is in a prediction?
The point spread, the total and the moneyline where they are posted, our own number for the game, and the call.
When are predictions published?
Before the game starts. Each one carries the date of its game, and the prices on it carry the date and time they were read.
What are the best bets today?
The games where our number sits furthest from the market. Each prediction sets our number beside the price, and the wider the gap, the stronger the pick. The next games are listed above.
Why do some predictions say no bet?
Because the price is close to our number. A pick with no edge is a guess, and we do not publish guesses as picks.
How do I read betting odds?
A minus price is what you stake to win 100; a plus price is what 100 wins. Our moneyline guide shows how to turn either into a chance of winning.
Do you guarantee winners?
No one can. Betting carries risk. Bet only what you can afford to lose, and only where it is legal for you.
