UCF football won five of seven at home in 2025 and none of five on the road, and the Knights lost every game in which they were the underdog. Each of those five losses cost a full unit on the moneyline.

Five home wins, no road wins

UCF finished 5-7. At home it was 5-2; away it was 0-5, covering one of four road spreads. The road trips ran 34-20 at Kansas State, 20-11 at Cincinnati, 30-3 at Baylor, 48-9 at Texas Tech and 41-21 at BYU, the last a game with no posted spread or moneyline.

Zero for five as the underdog

The Knights were underdogs five times and lost all five, covering once, at Cincinnati as 10.5-point underdogs. In 131 FBS teams that were ever an underdog, seven had a lower cover rate in that role. One unit on UCF in those five games lost 5.00, which is the whole moneyline loss for the season: as a favorite, the five priced games netted 0.00 units.

The spread

Against the spread UCF went 4-7. The best of it was a 45-13 home win over West Virginia at -6.5. The opener was a miss: 17-10 over Jacksonville State as 20.5-point favorites. November produced one win in five and no covers in four lined games, including a 30-27 home loss to Houston at -1.5.
