Five straight in the Sun Belt tournament

Here is the run to remember. In the Sun Belt tournament Georgia Southern beat Old Dominion, Arkansas State at +280, South Alabama at +170, Coastal Carolina and Marshall at +136, covering every one. Troy won the final 77-61. March came to 5-1 and 6.58 units.

The six weeks before it went the other way. From 10 January to 27 February the Eagles went 4-10, covering two of the 13 lined games in that stretch, both against Marshall. Over the full season the moneyline ended 2.32 units up across 34 priced games, all of it from the underdog games: as favorites the Eagles won 10 of 15 and finished 0.01 units down. Across the season they covered 17 of 33.

Marshall, three times

Marshall lost all three meetings and Georgia Southern covered all three, each time getting points: 101-87 at home, 99-82 away at +270 on 27 February, and 82-78 in the semifinal. Those three games made 5.36 units. Troy and App State each won both meetings, and Georgia Southern covered none of those four.

Home, road, neutral

The Eagles were 9-5 at home and 6-8 away, and covered 5 of 12 at home and 7 of 14 on the road. At neutral sites they went 6-3. Two home losses as favorites hurt most: Coastal Carolina won 79-75 at -265 on 17 January, and Texas State 77-71 at -192 in February.

Before all that, December was 6-0, part of a nine-game winning run. Georgia Southern scored 80.92 a game and allowed 79.7, and 19 of 34 totals went over.
