Five home losses, all as favorite

The Tigers went 7-5 at home and covered 4 of 10 lined home games. Every home defeat came laying points: 53-71 to Southern at -125, 64-67 to Arkansas-Pine Bluff at -265, 58-66 to Alabama A&M at -205, 71-76 to Bethune-Cookman at -115 and 59-66 to Florida A&M at -192. Across 16 priced favorite games the moneyline lost 4.91.

February held four of those five home losses. The month went 3-7 with three covers and cost 6.03 units, most of the season’s 8.13 lost over 28 priced games.

Grambling against the number

The spread split dead level, 15 and 15. As an underdog Grambling covered 8 of 14, among them 73-70 at Howard at +165 in November and 65-63 at Alabama State at +120 in March. Southern Miss split two games with Grambling, and Grambling covered both. Jackson State ended the season 68-65 in the SWAC second round with Grambling at -325.
