Navy allowed 63.79 points a game, and only four Division I teams allowed fewer. Even so the totals did not lean hard: 17 unders and 14 overs. On the road 9 of 14 went under; at home 6 of 15.

Patriot League opponents

Navy beat Bucknell three times and swept Army, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Loyola Maryland two games each, covering both meetings against five of those six. Only American, 65-51 winners in January, and Boston University beat the Midshipmen inside the league.

How it ended

The winning streak ended in the Patriot League semifinal, 73-72 to Boston University at home at -310, the shortest-priced defeat of the season. Boston University had lost both earlier meetings. Navy then lost 82-72 at Wake Forest in the NIT first round.

November had been the weak month, 4-5 with four covers and 4.18 units lost, including a 97-68 home loss to Yale at +225. As underdogs all season Navy won once in five, and those moneylines lost 3.05.
