Unlv Rebels

Backing the Rebels as underdogs in 2025-26 made 18.5 units over 18 games, the seventh-best underdog return in Division I. Backing them as favorites lost 4.17, and only 21 teams lost more that way.

Upside down

UNLV was a better bet the less it was expected to win. As underdogs the Rebels went 8-10 and made 18.5 units; six Division I sides earned more as the outsider. Laying points, the Rebels went 8-6 and lost 4.17. The spread treated both roles the same, 9 covers in 18 as underdogs and 7 in 14 as favorites, so the gap was entirely in who won the game.

The road prices

Three road wins made most of it: 86-76 at Utah State at +950 on 20 January, 86-83 at Boise State at +490 and 92-78 at Memphis at +425. One unit on the 12 priced road games returned 16.6 units, ninth in the country. The full season, 32 priced games, finished 14.33 up.

The home favorites that lost

The other side is the home losses at short prices: 86-81 to UT Martin at -2500 on 4 November, 63-60 to Tennessee State at -900 and 102-93 to Montana at -700. November alone went 3-5, with only 0.3 units lost thanks to a +425 win in the middle of it, and those three home defeats were three of UNLV’s six as a favorite.

Utah State

Utah State was met three times. UNLV won two, covered two, and made 11.35 units in the series, before Utah State won the Mountain West quarterfinal.

Overs

Twenty overs and 12 unders. That 62.5% over rate left UNLV 25th nationally, sharing the spot with two others. UNLV scored 79.39 a game and allowed 78.58.

The spread itself ran dead even, 16 covers and 16 misses. The NIT added a 75-72 win over UC Irvine and a 77-66 loss to Tulsa.
