Boston College Eagles

College Basketball

The Eagles covered just two of ten spreads as favorites in 2025-26 and 13 of 21 as underdogs. Only 14 Division I teams were worse when laying points, so on a Boston College line the side of the number matters more than the opponent.

Laying points: two covers in ten

Every Boston College favorite spread came at home or on a neutral floor in November and December, and the Eagles beat only two of them: 76-47 over The Citadel and 73-60 over Harvard. The worst was a 60-59 home loss to Central Connecticut at -17.5, priced -4000 on the moneyline. Four more home wins as favorites of 12.5 points or more missed, Fairleigh Dickinson among them, 72-61 laying 16.5. December was the purest case: 3-2 straight up, zero covers in five. Straight up the Eagles were only 6-4 as favorites, and one unit on them in those ten games lost 3.41 units.

Getting points: 13 covers in 21

As underdogs the Eagles covered 61.9%. January showed it best: 2-6 straight up, six covers in eight, including losses inside the number at Louisville getting 21.5 and at Duke in February getting 26.5. The outright upsets paid too: 81-73 over Syracuse at +220 and 68-67 over Wake Forest at +154.
