The Sooners lost nine straight from 7 January to 4 February 2026, and then won 92-91 at Vanderbilt at +600. February and March together went 8-4, nine covers in 12, and 10.06 moneyline units.

January

Oklahoma beat Ole Miss on 3 January and did not win again for a month. January finished 1-8 and 7.66 units down, the losses including 83-81 to Alabama and 88-87 at Missouri, both covers as underdogs. The ninth straight defeat came at Kentucky on 4 February.

The turn at Vanderbilt

Three days later the Sooners won 92-91 at Vanderbilt, getting 11.5, at +600. Across February and March they went 8-4 and covered nine of 12, and the moneyline made 10.06 units. March alone was 5-0 against the spread, with an 88-85 win at Texas at +235 and an 83-63 win over Texas A&M at +114 in the SEC tournament.

Over the season

They went 19-15 and covered 16 of 34. November was the poor month against the number: one cover in seven, three of the misses as home favorites of 24.5 points or more. As underdogs: seven wins in 20, 1.62 units. Away from home the moneyline made 4.13 over 11; at home, where they went 11-5, it lost 1.48 over 13 and the spread went 7-9. The shortest-priced loss came on a neutral floor in December: 86-70 to Arizona State at -258.

SEC opponents

Texas A&M met them three times and won two, by seven and by four, before the SEC tournament rematch went 83-63 the other way. Arkansas won both, the second 82-79 in the SEC tournament quarterfinal with Oklahoma covering at +6.5. South Carolina and Missouri split.

The total

Eighteen unders, 16 overs. After the SEC tournament the Sooners reached the College Basketball Crown final, beating Colorado and Baylor before an 89-82 loss to West Virginia.
