The new NFL season is off and running. Some season openers went as planned. There were also a few surprises along the way.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans Picks: OVER 43
Jacksonville stunned Indianapolis in Week 1 in a game that went OVER 44 ½ points. The total has gone OVER in six of the Jaguars last nine games against Tennessee. It has also gone OVER in four of the last five meetings in Nashville.
Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys Picks: OVER 52
Both teams are coming off a Week 1 loss to add some pressure to this game. Both teams have quarterbacks that love to air things out. The total has gone OVER in six of the last seven meetings in Dallas and this Sunday’s showdown should be a wild one.
San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets Picks: San Francisco -7
As favorites to win the NFC again this season, San Francisco was stunned by Arizona in Week 1. The Cardinals are going to be better than advertised. The Jets will play to expectations. Look for the 49ers to bounce back on Sunday.

Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles Picks: Philadelphia + 1½
The Rams upset Dallas last Sunday night at home but they have to travel to the East Coast in this 1 p.m. start. Philadelphia gave the game away last week against Washington. That is not going to happen two weeks in a row.
Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers Picks: OVER 42
Broncos only managed 14 points in a Week 1 loss to Tennessee but it should have better luck scoring points against the Steelers. The total has gone OVER in the last five meetings between these two teams.
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Picks: Carolina +9½
Things did not go as planned for Tom Brady and the Bucs against New Orleans. They should get past the Panthers this Sunday but the game will remain close. Carolina is 6-1 ATS in its last seven road games against this NFC South rival.

Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers Picks: Kansas City – 8½
The Chiefs rolled in their opener against Houston and there is no reason to start betting against the defending champs this week against an AFC West Division rival. Kansas City is 5-0 SU and ATS in its last five games.
Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans Picks: Baltimore -6½
You have to put Baltimore in the same category as Kansas City right now. The Ravens lived up to expectations in Week 1 and, at 5-0 ATS in their last five road games, there is no reason to go against them this Sunday.
