This page collects our NBA predictions for today and the days ahead. Each game gets its own page, posted before tip-off, with four things on it: the line, our number, the gap between the two, and the call. When the gap is too small, the page says no bet.

We cover every NBA game from the opener. The upcoming games sit at the top of this page as their predictions go up. Games already played sit below them, and every team has its own page further down.

How we reach an NBA pick

Each pick starts from a number built from each team’s results. That number is set against the price at the sportsbook, and the difference between the two is the gap. The gap decides the call.

A pick is only as good as the price it was taken at. Lines move between the day they open and tip-off, so a spread of -4.5 in the morning can be -6 by the evening. Each prediction names the line it read and when it read it, so you can see whether the price has moved since.

When our number and the price sit too close together, the page says no bet. A pass is published the same way a pick is, on the same page, before the game.

After the final buzzer, the page stays up as it was published. The pick is never rewritten. That is the fair test of ours: every call stays where it was made, the losses beside the wins.

How NBA betting works

Every NBA game carries three main markets, and each prediction says which one it plays and at what price.

  • The point spread is a handicap. A team listed at -5.5 has to win by 6 or more for the bet to cash. The team at +5.5 cashes if it wins outright or loses by 5 or fewer. The half point means a bet cannot land exactly on the number.
  • The moneyline is a straight pick of the winner. A price of -200 means staking 200 to win 100; a price of +170 means a stake of 100 wins 170. The favorite pays less because it is more likely to win.
  • The total, or over/under, is the combined score of both teams. An NBA game runs four 12-minute quarters, 48 minutes in all, and overtime points count toward the total.

What counts as a bet, and what we leave out

A bet here means one thing: a game where our number and the price are far enough apart for a call. On a slate where no gap is big enough, there is no bet, and the pages say so.

We do not publish player props or parlays, though books price them every night. Every prediction on this page is a call on the game itself.

The prices on each prediction are read from named US sportsbooks, and the page prints the line our call was made against. You can judge each call on its numbers instead of taking it on a name.
